Albert Gomez, 63 of Portage, IN passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Beloved husband for 32 years of Terry; loving father of Selina (Alfredo) Gomez-Beloz, Frances (Mark) Gonzales, Sarah Gomez and Nicholas Gomez; cherished grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 2; caring son of Carmelo and Rosa Gomez; fond brother of Adeline (Carlos) Escabalzeta, George (Karen) Gomez, Carmelo (Joy) Gomez, Rosa (Arnold) Alaniz, Lydia (Francisco) Ayala and Theresa (Nestor) Singh; numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; preceded in death by his brother, Victor Gomez and brother-in-law, Gabriel Rocha. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Family Christian Center, Munster, IN. Interment will be at Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN. Albert was employed at ArcelorMittal for over 40 years. He volunteered as a TV cameraman at the Family Christian Center and was an avid golfer.
