Alberto Cornejo Magallanes, age 83 of Munster, Indiana passed away on Monday,
August 3, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Margarita Figueroa; his daughter, Lydia
Margarita; his sons Alberto (Eva), Hector S. (Gloria) and Jose J. Cornejo; grandchildren,
Salvador (Priscila), Gabriela. Stephanie, Cristian J., Patricia D.,Elizabeth J and Daniel D.; and his
brother Luis (Maria del Refugio Haro) Cornejo Magallanes. Alberto was preceded in
death by his parents, Salvador Cornejo Campos and Guadalupe Magallanes Alvarez;
his brothers Jesus (Consuelo Campos), Elizandro (Raquel Campos), Salvador (Elvira
Haro); and sisters Angelina (Manuel Campos), Elvira (Pilar Estrada), Maria en Gracia
(Jesus Cornejo), Audelia (Francisco Mota).
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Kish
Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, Indiana. On August 10, 2020 at 10:00
A.M. there will be a mass at Saint Mary’s Church 802 West 144th Street, East Chicago,
Indiana 46312 with Father Nestor Varon. Interment will be after the mass at Holy Cross
Cemetery 801 Michigan City Road, Calumet City, Illinois 60409.
