Andrew “Andy” Sharpe Brennan passed away on June 28, 2016, at the Franciscan Hospital in Munster, Indiana. He was born on August 29, 1937 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Tora Christiansen Brennan and Jesse Ketchum Brennan. \tHe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sarah Jane Brennan; their three children Jeffrey Thomas Brennan, Sally Brennan Beach, Susie Jane Brennan; and five grandchildren, Whitney Elizabeth Beach, Andrew John Beach, Nicholas David Beach, Bridget Ann Brennan, and Megan Mary Brennan.\tAndy spent his childhood in Hammond, IN and then attended boarding school at Randolph Macon Military Academy in Front Royal, Virginia. He graduated from Purdue University in 1959. After college, Andy joined the Navy OCS program, was commissioned as a naval officer, and serviced 3-1/2 years as a navigator on a landing ship in the Pacific at the start of the Vietnam conflict. \tAndy met his wife, Sarah, at a Ravinia Festival in the summer of 1964 and they were married on June 19, 1965. Andy was the owner of Viking Engineering Company that had plants in Hammond, IN, East Chicago, IN, Chicago, IL, and Cadiz, Kentucky. \tVisitation will be Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN followed by a 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service. \tIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Tradewinds (www.tradewindsnwi.org) or Campagna Academy (www.campagnaacademy.org).\t
