On Friday, September 20th, 2024, Angela I Burke nee Freudinger, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones and joined her husband, Bill, in heaven. She is survived by her three sons: Mike (Ada), Bill (the late Susan) and Jim (Michie); five grandchildren: Mallory, Amelia, William Jr. (Nancy), Michael (Samantha) and Steven (Anabella); and two great-grandsons: William III and Jacob. She is also survived by her brother, John, her sister, Marie and many nieces and nephews. Angela is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, Charles and Angela, her siblings Marge, Coletta, Chucky, Gini, Francis, Ray, Paul and Ronnie.

She was born on March 4th, 1936 in Chicago, IL, she worked at Swift in her early years and spent most of her life happily raising her 3 sons. Angela was very entrepreneurial and independently ran her Decorama and Square Thru Fashions businesses. She also proudly worked part time for Time Saver Tool until her recent illness.

Angela enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the dogs in her life. Angela always looked forward to the next holiday, party or get-together with her family or friends. She welcomed many into her home and could talk for hours with anyone who would sit at her kitchen table.

Angela’s love of travel took her to Colorado, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Alaska and in most recent years several trips to Hawaii with family.

Angela was important to so many. She will be deeply missed and we will cherish our memories of her.

Friends can visit with the family Tuesday, September 24, from 3 – 7 PM with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00PM led by Father Pat Lyons and a Vigil Service at 3:30PM with Father Mike Yadron and again on Wednesday, at the church from 9:30AM until the 10:00AM Mass.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 25, at 10:00 AM. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
