Angelo D. Sakelaris

Angelo D. Sakelaris, 84 of Schererville, IN passed away on Tuesday, November 08, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Katherine (nee Demakos); son: James (Kris Costa) Sakelaris; daughter: Mary (Chris) Ioannides; granddaughters: Bernadette Katherine (B.K.) Sakelaris and Eleftheria Donna Ioannides; brother Alex (late Helen) Sakelaris; sister in law: Niki Sakelaris; numerous nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his brother: George Sakelaris. Visitation will be on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 7021 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN with Fr. David Bissias officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Angelo was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, AHEPA and was a retired Pipefitter from Blaw Knox after 33 years of service. He was a very generous husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church or Haven House in Hammond, IN, in his memory would be appreciated.
