Anthony A. Waznonis Sr. 84, of Lansing, IL formerly of South Chicago, Il passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Lorraine; Loving father of Anthony (Kim) Waznonis Jr. and Christine (Stanley) Mistarz; cherished grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 10; caring brother in law of LaVerne (late John) Skarupa and Myles (Rose) Feltenberger; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Ann Church, Lansing, IL. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Anthony was a member of St. Ann Church; retired from General Mills after 47 years of service; member of the Hammond Mohawks, Past Grand Knight at Coronata Council 3806 and member of council 3540 Lansing Knights of Columbus.
