Anthony Marinus Swyters

Anthony Marinus Swyters, 79 of Crete, IL. Tony was born on November 2, 1934 in Amsterdam, Holland. He died unexpectedly in his sleep on Friday, December 13, 2013.Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Cindy; sister, Jopie and Annie; brother, Karel. He was the loving father of Laura (Bob) Eierman; cherished grandfather of Bobby and Megan; fond uncle of Mary (Rich) Hughes, Fred (Debbie) Swyters, Karel, Willie, Arnold and Robert; He was a special friend to Jo. Visitation will be on Friday December 20, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 PM with a service at 7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. He will be cremated following the service. Tony came to the United States in 1949. He lived in Chicago, attended C.V.S and worked at the Peoples Store. He served with the US Army. Tony lived in Roseland, South Holland, Lynwood and Crete, IL. He retired from W.M. Wrigley Jr. Company in 1995 and traveled to Texas for many years in the winters. He enjoyed the nature, biking, bowling, wood working, puzzles, crafts, playing cards and history. He really enjoyed all his friends at Village Woods. They enriched his life. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
