Arthur H. Fies, Jr. age 68 of Munster, Indiana passed away on April 6, 2012. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 10, 1944. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce (Filek); children Deborah (Jeffery) Ruckman of Dyer, IN; and Michael (Tracy) Fies of Munster, IN. He is survived by his 5 grandchildren; Matthew Jezierski, Eric Jezierski, Michelle Fies, Elizabeth Fies, and Nicholas Fies. Art is survived by his brother James (Ruth) Fies of Munster, IN and sister Patricia (Craig) Orcutt of The Woodlands, TX; and his mother in law Ann Filek, of Calumet City, IL. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, and extended family.Preceded in death by his parents Arthur H Fies Sr and Ruth (Rehm) Fies; grandparents Herbert and Lillian (Dust) Fies, Jacob Rehm and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.Art worked for Youngstown/LTV for 37 ¬Ω years. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Art loved to joke, and would always put a smile on your face.Visitation will be at Kish Funeral Home; 10000 Calumet Avenue; Munster, Indiana on Tuesday, April 10th from 5:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be private conducted by Rev. Karl Davies.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or The American Heart Association in his memory.
