Audelio T. Arteaga, son of the late, Amador Arteaga and his living mother, Glafira Arteaga was born August 12, 1957 in Pretoria Michoacan, Mexico. Emigrated here when he was 14 and had a decorated start in his life as an American, working as a retail shop manager, a talented tailor, acquiring his accounting degree but had the most success and loved to provide a service to the Chicagoland community as a Real Estate Broker. Devout in his faith, always so generous to those around him as many would proclaim he “would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it”.

He married his loving and beautiful wife Maria C. Arteaga in Crown Point Indiana in July of 1990. They were blessed with two boys, Christian Andres Arteaga and Fabian “Fabi” Arteaga. Audelio also had an accomplished and loving first born son, Oscar Arteaga (Cecilia Arteaga) whom he had from a previous marriage.  Audelio was a dedicated husband and loving and generous father. He served his community by providing fair and excellent service as a real estate broker for more than 20 years in the Chicagoland area. He helped those in need through charity and selfless acts of generosity. Those who knew him thought immediately of how hardworking he was, almost never taking a day off. After years of hard work and dedication he was able to provide a wonderful and beautiful home for him and his family in Munster, Indiana in 2004.

Mr. Arteaga departed to be with his father and other relatives that were waiting with open arms, on October the 4th 2022. He was preceded in death by his father Amador Arteaga; and siblings, Roberto Enrique Arteaga, Rosario Arteaga, Alicia Arteaga, Austreberto “Beto” Arteaga and Efrain Arteaga. He is survived by his siblings, respectively in order Samuel Arteaga, Margarito Arteaga, Gloria Arteaga, Maria Arteaga, Maria De Jesus Arteaga; three grandchildren, Carina Arteaga, Oscar Arteaga and Miley Serena Arteaga; and so many other loved ones as he was part and pillar of a large and loving family that will grow and extend thanks to his influence.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 DIRECTLY at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Michael Yadron.  Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park Cemetery Crown Point, IN.  Visitation will be on Monday, October 10, 2022 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 3:30 p.m. and again at the church on Tuesday, from 11:30 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. Mass.
