Audrey Diane Jaceczko passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 after a long illness which caused heart complications. She was born February 6, 1936 in East Chicago, IN the 5th of seven siblings and grew up in Hammond. She is survived by four children – daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Daniel) McGowan, and her children, William, Kevin, Dianne and Richard Jaceczko; and JoAnne (Michael) McKee and their daughters: Cameron, Kalyn, Kiley and son: Colin all of Illinois; – sons: John and Paul Jaceczko of Indiana; sisters: Rita Stearns, Betty Bock (who shared a special bond beyond sisterhood), Joan Cole, Barbara Seitz and Deborah Hale along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by former husband: John W. Jaceczko; parents: William and Catherine Gaskey and brother: Stanley.Diane loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines singers. She was a very giving person and good samaritan and cared about her family in her own unique way. She was deeply devoted to our Lord Jesus and Blessed Mary. Diane was involved with the Carmelite Monastery in Munster, IN where she became a Third Order Carmelite. She will be missed by her family, friends and caregivers. Visitation will be Friday February 10, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church, Griffith, IN with Fr. Theodore Mens officiating. Interment will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, IN.
