Barbara J. Preston, 70, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2013 after a courageous five year battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved wife for 45 years of Roger; loving mother of Paulette (Dan) See; proud grandmother of Maddie, Jessie and Abby; caring sister of Sherry (Gerard) Brouwenstyn and Delores (Richard) Newhouse; cherished niece of John Wasielewski; several nieces, nephews and cousins; preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna Gonzalez; sister, Victoria (Matt) Monko, her grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be Monday, January 14, 2013 at 9:15 AM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Calumet City, IL. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
