Barbara Jean Siecker, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 29, with her beloved husband of 54 years, Abby, holding her hand. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she was surrounded by the love that defined her life.
Barbara’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and an adoring great-grandmother. She shared her love freely, making every family gathering feel like home and every holiday something to look forward to. Christmas was especially dear to her. She delighted in decorating the house, preparing meals for those she loved, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
She is survived by her husband, Abby; her son, Daniel (Sheryl) Siecker; her daughter, Robin (Michael) Croell; her grandchildren, Jordyn Croell and Tyler (Taylor) Croell; her cherished great-grandsons, Oliver “Stinkerpot” Croell and Damon Croell; her brothers, Daniel (Jennifer) Knoche and Bill (Kimberly) Knoche; and many beloved nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved as her own.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, William and Norma Knoche; her brothers-in-law, Bruce ( Beverly) Siecker and Scott (Paula) Siecker; and her sisters-in-law, Cathy (Jim) Nowaczyk and Laurie (Jeff) Fries
Barbara had a wonderful appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She loved traveling, especially trips to Brown County and Las Vegas, relaxing by the pool on warm summer days, keeping up with her favorite soap operas, enjoying lively Bunco nights, and spending hours talking and laughing with her dear friends. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, and her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
More than anything, Barbara loved deeply. She celebrated life’s happy moments with joy, stood beside those she loved through difficult times, and found her greatest happiness in simply being together with family and friends. The love she shared, the traditions she created, and the countless memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Though she is no longer with us, her love remains woven into the lives of her family. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
