Barbara Jean Koufos (nee Longfellow), 90 of Munster, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Hoopeston, Illinois on May 22, 1933 the daughter of Elmer and Alma Mae (Jaynes) Longfellow both deceased. She is survived by her daughter Maria (Niall) McShane, sons Peter Koufos (Karla Frenche), Michael (Amy) Koufos, and Steven Koufos(Cassandra Viles); granddaughters Anne (Ben) Massie, Mallory (Derek) Sandberg, Kara McShane (Joshua Junker), Sophia (Noah) Tilzer, Emily (Matthew) Radford, Olivia (Michael John) Doherty, Samantha Koufos and Stella Koufos; great-grandchildren Teagan and Barrett Massie. She is also survived by her brother Daryl (Wilma) Longfellow. Preceded in death by her husband James P. Koufos and her siblings: Robert, Louise, Margorie, Mary, Betty and John.
