Barry was often my opponent in cases in Lake County. I cannot think of a better trial lawyer than him - true class and professionalism even when he basically destroyed me and my case. I did not know Barry on a personal level, but I have nothing more than the upmost respect for him as a lawyer. I'm sure the level of professionalism was exceeded in his love and dedication to his friends and family. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss.

I’m heart broken 💔 over this. What a smart, well- versed, and athletic person he was. His daughters Jenny and Jessica, should be proud of everything that he stood for. I will never forget his ability to drive me from Florida to Indiana (years ago) in my days after my separation. We drove without stopping. Barry you will be terribly missed by your partners, friends, Holly, and family.

Bruce Kaminsky left a message on March 16, 2025:
Barry Rooth was the first friend I made when my family moved to Munster in 1974. In fact he welcomed me to his home along with my siblings. Barry and Robbie were great brothers and I admired how close they were. Their parents Judy and Buddy were terrific parents. I liked them both a lot. Barry was a well mannered and respectful son. A great role model for Robbie. At IU Barry and I were in the same pledge class in AEPi. That was where I discovered what a smart and like able guy Barry was! He and his roommate Scott would sleep until noon, go to class and get A’s! Law school was his calling at Valpo and he became an outstanding and successful attorney! Barry liked his rock music too. Everybody liked Barry! I will miss him. Over the last many years, we didn’t talk often but when we did we could pick up where we left off without missing a beat! Barry is in heaven now playing his guitar or preparing for his next case. We all were blessed to have known Barry. I will miss him forever but I will remember him fondly the rest of my life.
