Benny J. Puntillo, 83 of Highland, IN passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Beloved husband of 58 years to Patricia (nee Chrapla); loving father of Ramona (Dwayne) Cradduck, Andrea (Michael) Stewart, Charles Puntillo, Benny (Patti Mazur) Puntillo Jr. and Thomas Puntillo; cherished grandfather of Jesse and Rachael Cradduck, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Joey Stewart, Jaclyn, Charles Jr. and Kara Puntillo; 4 great grandchildren; fond brother of Aurelia (late Ira) Crouch and Ascanio (late Annie) Puntillo; caring brother-in-law of Arlene (Richard) Prendergast; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Carmello and Anna Puntillo; sisters, Connie and Carmela; brothers, Anthony and Sebastian. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 2:00-7:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Monday from 10:00-10:30 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Highland, IN Benny served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was the former owner of Puntillo’s Lounge and Mama Puntillo’s. He was a member of East Chicago Goodfellows and Cesare Battisti Lodge 27.
