Bernice Johnson LaRue, 94 of Dyer, IN formerly a resident of Harvey, IL for 65 years, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011. She is survived by her son: Vernon W.(Pat) Johnson;daughter: Lurene (Bob) Cooley; grandchildren: Laura (Saul) Berrum, Richard, Alan and Vernon Johnson, Lawrence (Laurie) Cooley, Thomas (Krista) Cooley and Michelle (Jim) Urbanczyk; great grandchildren: Tomas and Emily Berrum, Kiersten Urbanczyk; Preceded in death by her husbands: Vernon R. Johnson and Robert LaRue. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 4:00-7:30 PM with a funeral service at 7:30 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A private interment will be at Cedar Park Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Bernie lived for her family. She loved flowers and most of all was a lifelong, die hard Cubs fan. Contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.
