Bertha L. Crane, 97, of Munster, IN formerly of Calumet City, IL passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Joseph) Salus; sons, Robert (Patricia) Crane and Richard (Barbara) Crane; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Crane; parents, Peter and Martha Kalvaites; sisters, Phyllis”Tillie” White, Emily White and Carole Koup; grandsons, David West Crane and Steve Goytia. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Monday from 10:30-11:00 am at the church. Funeral service will be on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8955 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Bertha was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She retired from Al Knapp’s Restaurant after 25 years of service. Formerly employed at the U.S. Post Office. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
