Betty J. Lessner, age 85, of Griffith, IN, formerly of Calumet City, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016. She is survived by her husband, of 65 years, Frank Lessner; son, Frank (Nancy) Lessner; daughter, Susan (Joe) Moranski; son, Keith Lessner; grandchildren, Kari Lessner, Joey Steffani, and Keith Lessner; and niece Kitten Queen. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, with Father Theodore Mens, officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the funeral home, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service. Betty retired from Lane Bryant in River Oaks. She was Past President of St. Victor’s Women’s Club. Betty was blessed with family who loved her, friends who stood by her through life’s up’s and down’s, and shared in some of the happiest times in her life.
