Burton Gail Hastings Sr., age 95 of Munster passed away on Wednesday August
10th, 2022. He is survived by his children; Linda (Vince) McKinnon, Dawn (Steve) White,
Burton (Penny) Hastings Jr., Bill (Stacey) Hastings, and Sherri (Chris) Bardoczi,
numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandson, nieces, and
nephews. Burton was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Rachel Hastings, wife Joyce,
granddaughters Tricia Hastings and Erin Ziel, and his twelve siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 16th, 2022 beginning at 10:00 AM
at Kish Funeral Home located at 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Burial will
follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park in Crown Point, IN. Friends may visit with
the family on Monday August 15th , 2022 from 3;00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kish Funeral
Home.
Burton was a Marine Corp. Veteran, a volunteer firefighter for Hazel Crest, Il, and
was a retired manager from Munster Lumber/Handy Andy as well as from the
Town of Munster.

I was saddened to just find out that Gail had passed. My sincere condolences to his family. He was a co-worker at the Town of Munster and over the years became a good friend. Always had a positive outlook on life and kind words of encouragement. Used to tell him he reminded me of my dad in so many ways. I will miss my friend and keep his family in my prayers.
