Carol Ann Stofko (nee Kijak) age 70 and resident of Dyer, IN, passed away Friday August 5, 2016 in Pittsburgh, PA following an unexpected illness. Born August 19, 1945 in Hammond, Indiana. She was the daughter of Stanley and Julia Kijak. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Theodore Stofko. Beloved mother to son Brian (Nancy) Stofko of Crown Point, Indiana, and daughter Julianne (Bob) Delano of Crown Point, Indiana. Carol Ann had four grandchildren, Morgan Stofko, Matthew Stofko, Joshua Delano, and Ella Delano. Carol Ann was a graduate of Hammond Tech High School, class of 1963. She was a retired employee of the School City of Hammond, where she worked as a secretary in Personnel for 43 years. Carol Ann was an active member of St. Maria Goretti Church in Dyer, Indiana. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed cooking. Visitation will be Thursday August, 11, 2016 from 2 pm-8 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN 46321 and from 9:30 am-10 am on Friday, August 12, 2016 at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN 46311. Funeral Mass to be held at the church immediately following, at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to charity of your choice in her name. A light luncheon will follow graveside services at 12:30 at St. Maria Goretti Church.
