Caroline Shoue (nee Kobak) age 92 whom many knew as “the Candy Lady” due to her kind nature and always giving gifts of candy to everyone she met.  Caroline enjoyed volunteering, helping at her church, embroidery and coloring.  Caroline led a very simple life with little worry.  Although she never had children of her own, she was surrounded by her family and friends that will deeply miss her.

She is survived by her brother, Mike (Dorothy) Kobak of Dyer, IN and numerous nieces and nephews.  Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Shoue; parents, Joseph “Joe” and Catherine Kobak; brothers, Tony (Virginia) Kobek, Walter “Jimmy” Kobak and George (Anne) Kobak; sisters, Mary (Joseph) Orban, Katie (Russell) Shoue, Josephine (Alvin) Denesiuk and Pauline (Leo) McKee.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN with Reverend Theodore Mens officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Crown Point, IN.
