Carolyn Potasnik (Nee Teeple), 91, passed away suddenly on September 19, 2023 in Highland, Indiana. Carolyn was born on September 25, 1931 in Bluffton, Indiana to the late Alma and Max Teeple. She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Teeple and her husband of 50 years, Dr. William Potasnik. She is survived by her four children: William P. Potasnik, Mary (James) Gordon, Patricia (Eric) Ladd, Jay (Susan) Potasnik and her five grandchildren: Kurtis (Fiancé Sarah) Langdon, Bethany (Justin) Leroux, Sara, Emma, Max and one Great granddaughter, Leyla Rey. Carolyn graduated from Bluffton High School in 1949 and went on to attend Indiana University, Bloomington where she earned her B.S. in Medical Technology in 1953. In Indianapolis, she met and eventually married her husband in August of 1957. She worked at Saint Margaret Hospital in Hammond. Carolyn was a member of the Sigma Kappa and Tri Kappa sororities and an avid bridge player. She earned her Bronze Life Master of which she was very proud. She also loved to play Euchre with her family and watch tennis. Carolyn was a big animal lover and enjoyed her two cats. She will be dearly missed by many.
