Kay was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who lovingly raised four children with her sweetheart Eugene, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was a former resident of Whiting and Munster. She currently resided at Manor Care of Homewood. She was a member of St. Thomas More Church. Mom loved to cook. She made the best golubki, kolacky and apple pie. Her favorite foods included butter pecan ice cream, popcorn and chocolate covered turtles. Mom enjoyed watching NBA basketball and was a huge Bulls fan but also liked the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns. Her favorite shows were ice skating and Lawrence Welk reruns. He favorite hobby was jigsaw puzzles which were framed and adorned her apartment walls. Kay was a volunteer at St. Margaret Mercy South Campus and Arden Courts Alzheimer’s Assisted Living, South Holland. Mom always sacrificed her time for her children and grandchildren. As mom got older she needed our help and us daughters became her three little angels. In lieu of flowers, contributions for Masses or Hospice of the Calumet Area in her memory would be appreciated.
