Catherine (nee Girard) Delaporta passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 after a short illness in Indiana. She made her home with her sister Cecile (Delbert) Shirely. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lillian Girard; two brothers, David and Arthur; two sisters, Mary and Elizabeth; and two husbands, Jim Delaporta and Jaques Marin. She is survived by two sisters, Jeanne and Cecile; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Saint Marys Roman Catholic Church 70 W. Main St. Baltic, CT. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery Baltic, CT.
Catherine was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked at MIT, Massachusetts General, the Red Cross before retiring instructed many students in Virginia.
