Cesar Diaz Herrera, age 49 passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at The University of Chicago Hospital. Cesar was born a twin on July 17, 1973 and grew up in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. He had the biggest of hearts and was the life of the party, his warm smile and infectious laugh will be missed by many.

Cesar is survived by his daughter, Eva Maria; grandson, Danilo; loving parents, Eva (nee Herrera) and Aureliano Diaz; siblings, Sonia (José) Chávez , Joel (Mayela) Diaz and Aureliano (Maria) Diaz; nieces and nephews, Madaline, Eva, Gilberto, Alejandrina, Aureliano and Emma; great nephews and niece; and his partner, Evelia.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 DIRECTLY at Jesus, Shepherd of Souls Catholic Parish 768 Lincoln Ave. Calumet City, IL with an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Luis Valerio Romero.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL.  Visitation will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 at KISH Funeral HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm.
