Charles A. Lair, Jr., age 68, of Dyer, IN passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lair; son, Charles A. (Leslie) Lair, III; grandchildren, Alexander Lair, Matthew Lair, Abigail Lair; sister, Barbara Langton; mother-in-law, Ruth Bult; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Paul) Kiel, Ruth (Jack) Vieira, Judy (Dan) Strom; brother-in-law, John (Sharon) Scholte; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Lair, Sr. and Evelyn Lair; father-in-law, Simon Bult, sister-in-law, Nancy Scholte; and brother-in-law, Patrick Langton. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 DIRECTLY at Ridge United Methodist Church 8607 Columbia Ave. with Reverend Michelle Knight, officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again at the church, on Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service. Chuck proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post 697 of Lansing, IL. He was a member of the Vintage Tin Street Rod Club and the Ridge United Methodist Church, where he served in numerous capacities.
