Charles C. Tarpley, age 82, of Lansing, IL, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Rose Tarpley; children, Charles (Karen) Tarpley, Betty (Matt) Lesniewski, son-like nephew, Rodger (Sondra) Boldin, and step-children Jimmy and Marie Hall; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Edith and Connie; and best friend and companion, his loving dog Smokie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie Thrift and George Tarpley; one sister; and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm. at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, with Pastor David Atkinson, officiating. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Hammond, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Charles was an avid NASCAR fan and outdoorsemen, who loved hunting and fishing. Memorials in Charle’s name, may be made to the charity of your choice.
