Charles Carl Murphy Sr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at the age of 72 years and 4 days. Born April 26, 1941 in Terre Haute, IN and passed away in Munster, IN; Elder Murphy was member and the Pastor of Monroe Primitive Baptist Church, Michigan. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles Monroe and Thelma Lillian Murphy; sisters, Wanona Rose Murphy, Patricia Burns, Selma Daugherty and Vickie Jones all of Terre Haute, IN; brothers, Daniel Lee Murphy and George Burton Murphy. He is survived by his wife, Lillie M. Murphy; son, Charles Carl Murphy Jr. of Bedford, IN; daughters, Flora Lillian Murphy, Angela (Charles) Shipley of Manila, AR and Jackie Clapp of Terre Haute, IN; sister, Betty Lanning of Terra Haute, IN and brother, Richard Murphy of Clinton, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, May 3, 2013 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Sunday at 2:00-7:00 at Chastain Funeral Home, 705 West Warren St. Mitchell, IN. Funeral service will be on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Lost River Church Campbellsburg, IN with Elder Joseph Humphries and Elder Cecil Coy officiating.

He is my precious brother, I will miss him dearly, but I know now he is with his Lord whom he loved more than life itself.
