Charles “Charlie” H. Riley

January 14, 1955 - February 25, 2010

Charles H. Riley, 55, of Dyer, IN passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. He is survived by his loving brothers, Robert and Michael (Louise) Riley; adoring sister, Kathryn Riley; cherished and adored uncle of Michael Jr. and Linda Marie-Elizabeth Riley; Many loving cousins and two favorite uncles; He was preceded in death by his loving parents, William J. Riley and Charlotte Riley, brother, William J. Riley III. Charlie attended Creighton and Marquette Universities. His career path included the utility, hospitality, automotive and banking industries. He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church. Charlie was a beloved uncle to Michael and Linda and brought an all encompassing love that was a treasured relationship. Charlie enjoyed laughing with family and friends and certainly brightened our lives. A gifted comedian and storyteller, Charlie turned everyone he met into a devoted, lifelong friend. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Portage, IN. Contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area in his memory would be appreciated.

My cousin, Charlie, brought me 'fatty patty' candy from Marshall Fields in December of l970. He always made us laugh and had a terrific memory for people and places. He could light up a room with his humor and zest for living. Charlie, you will be missed and were loved.Cousin Jane
