He was preceded in death by his son Charles “Chas” Varkalis IV, his brother Timmy and his parents, Charles and Sharron (Winn). Chas is survived by his wife Jennifer (Nardi), sisters Nancy (Varkalis), Connie (Skarvan), Cathy (Mann), Christine (Skoronski) and his brothers Lawrence, Tommy, and Jimmy. Beloved son-in-law of Elaine Nardi. Loving Uncle, Nephew, Brother-in-law, and Friend to many.

Chas was such a friend and blessing to the Bethesda Group Home in Frankenmuth, Michigan. He had such a wonderful relationship with the people we support who would come to him with every little loose curtain bracket and noisy air vent. Chas would patiently listen to them and then say, "Yep, we gotta fix that." And then he would fix it.
