Charles G. Nagy, 82 of Schererville, IN formerly of Hammond, IN passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann; son, William (Holly) Nagy; grandchildren, Charles, Allison and Julia; preceded in death by his son, Charles in 1990. Visitation will be on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment will be at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Charles retired from the East Chicago School System and was a member of the American Legion Allied Post 369, Serra Club and the Elk’s Lodge 981. He was a former board member with Tri City Mental Health, proud graduate of East Chicago Washington High School, graduate of Valparaiso University and a lifelong White Sox and Notre Dame Football fan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
