CHARLES CHILLA, JR. \”CHUCK\” LANSING, IL Charles \”Chuck\” Joseph Chilla, Jr., age 77 of Lansing, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Chuck is survived by his wife of 54 years Ann \”Rooney\” (Stettin); loyal father of Cathi (Mike) Packard, Beth (Kevin) Hayhurst, Charles (Elizabeth) Chilla and Amy (Mike) Weber; proud Papa of Louise (Scott), Ben, Cooper, Emily, Jack, Charlie, Michael, Fiona, Neve and Ava. Chuck served in the U.S. Army, was a member of Amvets Post 43, was an electrician with Wisconsin Steel, and retired from LaSalle Bank. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events, volunteering at church, gardening, an occasional visit to the casinos and a good glass of boxed red wine. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church in Lansing, IL. Interment will be Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Ann Church in his name would be appreciated.
