Charles W. Penning, 85, of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Beloved husband of Donna Penning; loving father of three children; cherished grandfather of nine; Charles “Poppy” was retired from Inland Steel after 41 years as a crane operator at the 44 #2 mill finishing end. Charles was a Christian man who taught values, simple wisdom and pleasant humor to his family. He will truly be missed. Services will be held privately at a later date. The family would like to thank family and friends for all their support. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
