Charlotte A. Woodside, 94, of Merrillville, IN, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Mervin) Stover; grandchildren, Elizabeth Stover, Laura Stover and Amy (Garrett) Schade; great grandson, Owen Schade; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Wagner and Ruth Atwell, and her brothers, Wayne Atwell and William Atwell. Charlotte was the editor of the house magazine for the Benedum Oil Company before joining WQED, Pittsburgh’s public television station. At WQED, she was the Director of Community Development and received a Peabody award for her work. Her memorial service will be private. Kish Funeral Home, Munster, IN is in charge of arrangements. Those who wish, in lieu of flowers, may make a contribution to a charity of their choice or to their local public television station in her memory.
