Cheryl Volkman, 74, of Munster, IN entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, July 24, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 25 in Hammond, Cheryl was a full-time wife, mother and grandma. She loved Disney vacations, going to concerts, playing bingo and spoiling her grandchildren. Cheryl loved road-trips with her beloved husband Herb to concert destinations and weekend getaways always making it a point to find Amish restaurants and stores. Her whole universe revolved around her children and grandchildren. She was the matriarch of the family and was the most kind hearted, loving and supportive mother.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Volkman; sister, Judy Henry (Grobner) of Griffith; children, Melissa (Volkman) and Josh Sickinger of Crown Point and Nicholas and Cassie Volkman (Thomas) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Henry and Conrad Sickinger & Maeverly, Veda and Delaney Volkman. She is reunited with her parents, Richard and Clover Grobner; brothers, Don, Wayne and Bobby Grobner in Heaven.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church 631 W. Commercial Ave. Lowell, IN with Pastor Cory Weilert officiating.  Interment will follow at Memory Lane Memorial Park Crown Point, IN.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service.
