Cindy M. Swyters, 76 of Lynwood, IL formerly of South Holland, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Anthony; daughter: Laura (Bob) Eierman; grandchildren: Bobby and Megan Eierman; nephews: Martin and Marcel; niece: Truus; several family members still living in Holland. Preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Cindy was born Enschede, Netherlands, Holland, moved to America in 1963, lived in Roseland and West Pullman, met Tony in 1965 and married him in 1967 and moved to South Holland, IL in 1970. She was formerly employed at the Inglenook Restaurant and Van’s Florist. Cindy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, the beach, sea shells, arts, crafts, and gardening, she really had a green thumb. After retiring in 1995, Cindy and Tony traveled to Texas yearly to avoid the winters. She was a wonderful baker, always homemade cookies and cakes, never from a box. A former member of Holy Ghost Church, she and her husband moved to Lynwood, IL in 2007 to be closer to her daughter and family. Visitation will be on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Friday, 7:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Szoke officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army or the Paralyzed Veterans Association, in her memory would be appreciated.
