Cletus O’Drobinak, 78, of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at home from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary (nee Schweitzer; daughter, Jacquelyn (Mike) Prater; grandchildren, Mary and Nick; sister, Rita (Bob) Bondi; brother, Jerome O’Drobinak; sisters-in-law, Gloria (late Martin) O’Drobinak, Wilma (late Ernie) Smith, Doris (late Art) Schweitzer, Mollie (late John) Schweitzer and Margaret (late Herb) Schweitzer; brothers-in-law, Ves (late Marjorie) Schweitzer, Vernon (Flora) Schweitzer and Richard (Jo) Schweitzer; many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Joseph; brothers, Martin, Joseph and Clarence. Cletus was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and teacher. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched. Cletus was a member of the Holy Name Society, Indiana CPA Society, Catholic Order of Foresters (Former state treasurer and former state treasurer of St. Benedict Court 1325), AICPA and former lector at St. Thomas More Church. Cletus received his BA from the University of Dayton, MBA from DePaul University and CPA. He was a retired Accounting Professor at South Suburban College. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church, Munster, IN; Entombment will be at St. John Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area, St. Thomas More School, St. John the Baptist School in Whiting or the Share Foundation, in his memory would be appreciated.
