Corinne R. Sutter, 86 of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, February 4, 2013. Dearest mother of Sandra Dempsey, Scott (Adele) Sutter, and Debbie (fiancé Richard Manning) Sutter; Proud grandmother of Kyle, Austin, Oliver, and great-grandchild Graham; Beloved sister of Darlene and Irv Lang, Barb and Rich Mehler, and Bob and Diane Dibblee; preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert in 2008 and grandson, Brian Dempsey. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Ridge United Methodist Church, Munster, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1:30-3:30 PM at the church. Connee Attended Hammond High School and was a cheerleader, a student at Purdue Lafayette she later transferred to Valparaiso University and received her Bachelors and Master Degree in Education. She taught in the Hammond School System, 5th Grade at Wilson Elementary School for approximately 30 years and was active in many Bridge Clubs, Bowling and Tennis Leagues, member of PEO Philanthropic Organization, active member of Ridge United Methodist Church, Munster, Indiana, Woodmar Junior Women's Club, Had a lake home in Three Rivers Michigan on Lake Donnell, retired to Fort Myers, Florida and lived in Siesta Bay Retirement Community, sang in the Siesta Bay Chorus, sang as a soloist for the Siesta Bay Band, Sang in the Hartsfield Village Chorus, in her later years, she returned to Munster and lived in Hartsfield Village Retirement Community to be closer to family and friends. Connee enjoyed singing and music throughout her life. When in High School, she worked at Nelson Drug to save money for college. Connee was a lover of life and a lover of people and led an active social life. She loved her children and her husband and supported them in their busy schedules and many sports activities. During her early years, she was a voracious reader and loved spending time at the library. There was a standing joke that she had read every book in The Hessville Library. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She traveled with her husband to Egypt and England for his job. She and her husband and kids were great lovers of camping.
