Dear Kelly Family, Dan was truly a special guy. Whenever I was with him he made me feel special, and I think he did that with all the people he knew. I experienced the Celebration of his Life in Arizona and also his Funeral Mass and burial at Saint John’s University. I marveled at learning more about Dan through all the stories shared. Throughout the times that I had a chance to enjoy life with Dan in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas and Arizona, he always welcomed me fondly. He enjoyed getting acquainted with my children at a young age. At one visit in Wisconsin a tree fell on his car during a big storm, and he took it right in stride. He was that kind of a guy, appreciating people not things. When we visited through the years, he would always ask me how the kids were doing; and he remembered his experiences with them. Dan lived life to the fullest with great spirit and gusto. He will be sadly missed by your family and all of us. I know Dan’s spirit lives on and remains with you, and it will be cherished in all of our hearts forever. May all your sweet memories give you comfort and peace! Sending Love, Hugs and Prayers, Aunt Jane

Where do I start!? Dan and I were best buds at Marmion. Our class was full of nut jobs, lost causes and rich brats. Who could have guessed we would end up living 2 blocks from each other years later in Phx., AZ. Dan could run with the most rowdy or carry on a philosophy discussion with the Priests and Smarties in high school. [if the priests only knew what was going on at night, in the kitchen or home on weekends]. Knew Tim well at Marmion and Dan’s parents. Went home few times with Dan and had a blast with his close friends back home. Dan and I had adventures in Indy when he would visit for the Indy 500. My sisters remember him well. Dan was a very good football player as well playing center all 4 years and I was QB forfirst 2 years. We had a blast in high school. I wish his family good fortune and wish Dan a great after life in heaven. We all got to hope there is a place for all of us. RIP Bob 602-292-5135 Phoenix.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My deepest sympathy to Family and Friends on the passing of Dan Kelly. I first knew Dan as he courted my sister, Barbara Ellen Kelly, at her parents' home in St. Joseph, Minnesota. On their front lawn, Dan and Barbara would play volley ball with friends. More recently, I enjoyed telephone conversations with Dan on the current political scene. I welcomed his turn toward my liberal side. Everyone loved Dan's quite recent appearance at the Minnesota Kelly Family Reunion. I will truly miss my Jolly, lovable brother-in-law, Dan. May he rest in Peace!

Dan was always there to share a laugh or help out. In high school I spent some time in the summer in Chicago and he would always make sure I was OK, take me to the movies and be so much fun! He was the "big brother" who truly embraced life and his eyes twinkled with mischief as well as joy. He and John traditionally would take in on xmas night the new Clint Eastwood movie. I remember how he enjoyed my mom and dad and how kind he was to them. Ever quick witted and facile with words, he coined my nick name Jenny Benny. We will miss him.
