Daniel Jacobs, 88 of Highland, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley (nee Sugerman); daughters: Alison Jacobs, Ronna Goldberg and Janet (Timothy) Heady; grandchildren: Lindsey (Joachim), Corey, Raime, Hersha, Micah and Zara; several nieces and nephews; Preceded in death by his brothers: Ira, Hershal and Aaron; sister: Shirley. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Temple Beth El, 10001 Columbia Ave. Munster, IN with Rabbi Michael Stevens officiating. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery, Chicago, IL. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the temple. Daniel was a member of Temple Beth El. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, European Theater, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and four Battle Stars. In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice in his memory would be appreciated.
