Daniel Lee Ross

November 26, 1956 - June 25, 2012

Daniel L. Ross, 55 of Lowell, IN formerly of Calumet City, IL passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012. He is survived by his sons, Ryan, Eric and Derik; mother, Mary Ellen Ross; brothers, Michael (Diane) Ross and Mark (Liz) Ross; longtime companion, Carrie Brosseau; fond uncle to Chris, Kari, Jeremy, Brandon, Bryan and Brett; preceded in death by his father, Dono Ross. A celebration of Dan‚Äôs life will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 2:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home. Dan will be truly missed by his family and friends. He was a devoted dad, great brother and a true friend to many. He was an avid fisherman and a member of Wolf Lake Rod & Gun Club. He loved to spend time on his boat at Lake Erie. Dan worked for Nationwide for 34 years.

Our sympathies to Dan's family & friends. He was a great friend. He helped us teach our son to fish. Dan will be sorely missed.

Dan was someone I looked up to while growing up. All thought he didn‚Äôt know it; he was like an older brother to me. When we played pickup baseball games at Blackstone Park and football or whiffle ball games in the empty lot next to his house we always had a great time. I will always remember helping him work on his 65 Ford Galaxie 500 and then later watching him drive by in his early 70‚Äôs blue Challenger. My heart goes out to his family, his Mom Mary Ellen and brothers Mike and Mark and of course his sons. I‚Äôm sure he will be missed very much in all the lives of the people he‚Äôs touched
