Daniel M. Sivak, 55, of Dyer, IN passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Stincic-Sivak; step children, Julia and Joshua Grzywana; Mother, Joan Sivak (nee Blaszak); siblings, Nancy (Frank) Rosser, John (Karen) Sivak, Eric (Debra Recker) Sivak and Joel (Leslie) Sivak; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Virginia Stincic; sisters-in-law, Lisa Stincic-Perez, Pamela (Phil) Trevino and Sylvia (Marc) Ferry; brother-in-law, Brian (Dale Mrozek) Stincic; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Alan Sivak; grandparents, Joseph Sr. and Esther Sivak, Joseph and Anna Blaszak; lifelong best friend and cousin, Michael Jurecki; furry friend, Muffin. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN and on Saturday from 10:00-10:30 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Interment will be private. Daniel was the owner of DMS Construction, where he built and remodeled homes. He was currently employed as a Superintendant for Utility and Industrial Construction. Dan was a member of Laborers Local 81. Dan was fortunate to have the love, support and care of his family and friends during his illness. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the Calumet Area or The Humane Society of the Calumet Area in his memory would be appreciated.
