David J. Kodicek, 68 of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. David J. Kodicek, 68 of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He is survived by his two sons: Daniel (Michelle) and granddaughter, Ella of Valparaiso, and Matthew (Jena) and grandson, Benjamin of Crown Point. His sister, Miriam, of Munster, his aunt, Mildred Rosenfeld of Mishawaka, and uncle, Irving Feldman of Munster, his former wife, Cheryl Kodicek, and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Anne Kodicek, and his brother, Larry. David graduated from Hammond High School and Bryant Stratton College. A former member of the United States Army, Lake Hills Volunteer Fire Department, B'nai Brith ,Delray Beach Police Volunteer, Lake County Sheriffs Reserve, and Palm Beach County Fire Citizens Assist Team. He and his father owned Industrial Sanitation Company for many years. David was a loving brother, father, and grandfather. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial at Kneseth Israel Cemetery, Hammond, Indiana.
