David R. Luera, 60 of Lowell, IN passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020. He is survived by the love of his life and fiancé Terri Kohler; loving father of Amber (Bryan) Austin; best grandfather in the world of Aliyah and Angelo Gallo, Gwenyth and Jaelynn Austin; Annabelle, Claire and Gabriel Larsen; mother, Elvia (Armando) Canales; siblings, Elsa (Wilbur) Holaday, Diana (Daniel) Fernandez, Sandra (James) Holland, Sonia (John) Hufman, Raquel (Steve) DeWitt and Roy (Leticia) Rebolloso; numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Erineo Z. Luera and grandson, Isaac Larsen.
David was a graduate of Munster High School Class of 1978. He was an avid fan of the Cubs, Blackhawks, San Francisco 49ers and Notre Dame. He coached youth bowling. David brought laughter everywhere he went. He always offered a helping hand to anyone who needed it. David always had a smile that would light up the room. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. His family asks if you have a favorite picture of David to please upload it to this website.
