My sympathies to Patti and her family for the loss of Dave. We were neighbors for over 20 years…. Dave was a kind, sweet and funny man.. My husband Larry enjoyed when he would walk across the street and they would sit in the garage and talk about cars and motorcycles…. When we move six years ago, larry and Dave still stayed in touch and would meet for a sandwich.. The neighborhood lost a great neighbor …My thoughts are with you, Patti, and all of your families. .. Sending love and prayers

I'm truly sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He was an exceptional person, a caring gem whose compassion for his coworkers, family and friends was truly remarkable. Having worked alongside Dave for almost 5 years at the Lowell, Indiana facility, I cherish the amazing conversations we had during that time. Despite not being in constant touch, I managed to reconnect with Dave on a few occasions, each interaction leaving a lasting impression. His warmth and kindness will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to everyone affected by this loss.

So sad to see Dave go. A true friend and a better Human Being. I worked just a few years with him and it was a pleasure saying hi to him every morning. And his truly love and respect of the fellow friends and co-workers. You are going to be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I don't even know where to begin this is such devastating news that Dave is no longer with us. It doesn't even seem like it could be real. Dave was truly a great friend and a kind and soft spoken person. We shared in office many years at work. There are so many great memories. It brought to mind the years that we went out on weekends with "our kids", as we referred to the interns and recent college graduates starting out. There was a group of us that would play Jeopardy at work. Dave always said that he was full of useless facts, it was so surprising when he would come up with some of the answers that we were all clueless about. He was always there in good times and bad. I would still recently contact him asking about the history at Avery Dennison, since he was there at the very beginning. Dave shared many stories of the family farm in Michigan , it held a very special place in his heart . It was also a historical farm , and Dave was very much into history and family roots . My heart goes out to Patty and the rest of his family. I know the grief that I am feeling is multiplied many times by his family.

Dave was a wonderful human being. I was privileged to work with him for many years at Avery Dennison. He was a true friend, had a great sense of humor and was one of the smartest trivia players I ever met. He will be missed so much. My heart goes out to his lifelong love, Patty.
