Delores Kozdras, 81 of Highland, IN passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009. She is survived by her cousin: Geraldine (Terry) Sherwood; niece: Dorothy (Mike) Kobak; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; Preceded in death by her husband: Peter Dale Kozdras; parents Russ and Mert Dean; brothers: Bobby and Virgil Dean; sister: LaVerne Tuscan; best friend: Annie Michels. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 2:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. (next to Fitness Pointe) Munster, IN. and Wednesday from 9:30-10:00 AM at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN. Fr. Charles Niblick officiating. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Delores was known as “Angel Lady.” She served as President for 20 years of the Metro Golden Age Club, worked as a beautician for many years, taught many beauticians in the area and was a member of the Hammond Democratic Party. Delores was a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
