Derek Bo Ryband, 39, of Munster, IN entered the gates of heaven Sunday, August 21, 2016. He had been in Rush University Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Bo, as he was known to many, was sharing his life with his girlfriend Sharon Dragomer and their beloved dog, Coach. He is survived by his parents, Dave & Mardee Ryband, his brother Jason (Kelli) Ryband, and his sister Deanna (Jeff) Goldman. He is also survived by his three nieces, Isabel, Sydney & Grace Goldman, and Aunts and Uncles Dave & Patty Rebey, Bob & Terri Rebey, Mary Agnes Ryband, and Dennis & Linda Stankus. Bo graduated from Munster High School and entered into a career of culinary arts. He shared his talent in many restaurants in the region where he often left the kitchen to go to the dining room and meet the patrons he so happily served. He knew no strangers. Bo had a kind, loving heart and his warm consideration brought much contentment to many people young and old. Services will be held at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN 46321. Visitation is Wednesday, August 24th 3:00-8:00 pm, and Thursday, August 25th 10:00-11:00 am with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to Rush University Medical Center for Transplant Programs, 1700 W. Van Buren St., Suite 250, Chicago, IL 60612; (or) Lake County Indiana Animal Control, 3011 W. 93rd Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307.
