Donald L. Petit, born in Chicago, IL, most recently of Lansing, IL, age 88, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Donald is now reunited with his beloved wife Bonnie. He is survived by his four (children) sons, Cliff (Margaret), Ed (Barbara), Bret and Brian. His grandchildren Nicole (Joe), Micah, Rachel (Chris), Matt (Layne), Jeanette, Elizabeth, Anne, Dominick, Justin and Ashlee. His great grandchildren Wyatt, Bradley, Arianna, Elizabeth, Isaiah, Alexis, Owen, Gray, Jaxson and his great great granddaughter Allie. Donald will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family. He was an amazing man and a friend to all. He made friends everywhere he went and people were always drawn to him. Donald enjoyed many things such as his trains, books, traveling, history, his faith and his friends and family but more than anything else in this world he loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. They were his absolute pride and joy. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral service following at 12:00 pm at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN 46321. Services will be followed by Burial at Cedar Park Cemetery 12540 S Halsted St. Calumet Park, I.60827. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1801 Meyers Rd. Suite 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL. 60181 or online at www.cancer.org.
