Donald Westerhoff, 82, of Munster, IN passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010. He is survived by his sons, Donnie Westerhoff and Terry (Nelly) Westerhoff; daughter, Cindy (Jerry) DeYoung; grandchildren, Todd (Abigail) Westerhoff, Kevin (Jessica) Westerhoff, Michelle (Christopher) Campbell, Eric Westerhoff, Jennifer DeYoung, Lauren Deyoung, Michael DeYoung and 2 great grandchildren on the way. Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Hazel and brothers, Lorry, Gilbert and Bill Westerhoff. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 3:00-8:00 PM at Kish Funeral Home 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Bouwer officiating; Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Don served with the Merchant Marines during World War II, and Elder with the Reformed Church of America, former Board Member of the Lansing Association for the Retarded Citizen and a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73. In lieu of flowers, contributions to LARC 19043 Wentworth Ave. Lansing, IL 60438 in his memory would be appreciated.

Mr. Westerhoff was a loving grandfather and made every effort to help his grandkids. I was glad to know him.
