Doreen Jurkash, age 53, of Munster, IN passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Anthony Jurkash; sons, Tony (Sarah), John (Mallory) and Michael Jurkash; granddaughter, Matilda Jurkash; father, Richard Moldrawski; sisters, Denise Rich and Deborah (Rich) Jezuit; brother, Mark (Oralia) Moldrawski; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Moldrawski and brother, Jeff Moldrawski. Visitation will be on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN, and on Saturday from 9:30-10:00 am at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Doreen dedicated 15 years of her life helping and mentoring hundreds of children as a teacher’s aide at Frank H. Hammond elementary. She actively volunteered in community organizations, as well as her children’s activities, which included volunteering for 6 years as a religious formation teacher at St. Thomas more Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the needs of the family.
